  • About Us

COAAST's mission is to eradicate the opioid epidemic through arts-based educational, therapeutic, and community driven approaches.

Our programs employ drama therapy, therapeutic theater, and other art forms alongside sound clinical and public health knowledge. We have an original play that performs across New England, a middle school medication abuse prevention curriculum, a multi-media project about the veterans experience with the epidemic, and multiple educational projects with the Rhode Island Department of Health.

Our programs highlight addiction as a family disease. We believe the opposite of addiction is connection. Our programs use this framework as a guide: “We hurt in relationship, therefore we heal in relationship.”
