Bronx, NY

  • About Us

To reduce the burden of Asthma in the South Bronx.

The Bronx Regional Asthma Coalition (BRAC) is a novel 5-year clinical service program that involves systems improvement, enhanced patient centered support in the community, and clinical decision support for providers. Funded by the NYSDOH, the program functions both within the walls of Lincoln Hospital and in the surrounding community, which is one of the most heavily burdened neighborhoods in the country. The coalition's name is RESPIRAR, which means Breathe in Spanish, and also is an acronym for our mission: Resources, Education, Self Management, Prevention, and Integration to Reduce Asthma Rates.
