    The North American Japanese Garden Association (NAJGA) exists to serve and strengthen Japanese garden throughout North America by:

    - Forming a network of Japanese garden professionals that acknowledges the diversity of the field and the many professionals affiliated with Japanese gardens.

    - Providing the means for enhanced communication and sharing of information and resources.

    - Developing best practices and technical expertise about the design, construction, maintenance, and management of Japanese gardens, with attention to issues that are specific to the regions in which the gardens exist.

    - Create programs to connect gardens in North America with garden and professional colleagues in Japan.
