About Us
Hearts and Homes for Youth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children and youth, from newborns to 21 years of age, get back on the right track by offering a stable, supportive, and nurturing home. HHY provides a broad spectrum of educational, residential, independent living and mental health programs to our culturally diverse client population. Our mission is to treat each child as if they were our own. We serve youth from across the state of Maryland, referred to us by the Department of Juvenile Services and Department of Social Services. According to their needs, they are placed in one of our shelters. HHY has six group homes, a transitional living home, a Therapeutic Foster Care program, a program for pregnant and parenting teens, and a non-residential Evening Reporting Center. We regularly have between 136 and 175 youth in our care.
