  • Mission

The ARJC strives to increase awareness of, and provide legal support for, families disproporationately affected by the gender disparities in family law matters, post incarceration re-entry programming, and the criminalization of mental health issues in impacted communities through education and advocacy.

    About Us

The ARJC fulfills its mission with a three-point process: Educate, Advocate, Litigate.

We provide information to the community related to our select issues, provide advocacy for those affected by our target issues and operate legal clinics serving those in these selected areas.

    Our target issues are:

Education, advocacy and litigation supporting fathers and childrens rights

Juvenile diversion programs through the juvenile court (to stave off the school to prison pipeline)

Providing incarcerated father access to their children and sustainable re-entry programming to foster and maintain familial relationships

Educating the public about and curbing the criminalization of mental health issues in impacted communities

We believe that many of the ills suffered by vulnerable communities can be traced back to the family and home environment. Thus, adderssing community problems at the most basic level-the family unit- we can improve our communities and provide the necessary resources to strengthen those same communities, thereby forcing systemic change from the foundation up.
