    MISSION: to promote good mental health, wellness an achieve victory over mental illness. VISION: a just, humane and healthy society in which all people are accorded respect, dignity, and the opportunity to achieve their full potential free from stigma and prejudice.

    Since 1953, MHALC has promoted good mental health and wellness with prevention, education in many settings and via all media, and support groups. We serve the entire county with topics like parenting, poverty, bullying, abuse prevention, personal advocacy (such as helping a parent get special education services or someone with schizophrenia to get treatment), etc.
