    About Us

The Village School is a public charter school sponsored by the Eugene 4J School District. Tuition is free. We serve 225 students grades K-8 . The school follows the inspirations of Rudolf Steiner and other arts-integrated, holistic educational methods. Against the increasing pressures of information technology, the Village School has retained its mission to educate the whole child integrating visual arts, music and movement into traditional subjects. The school was one of the first to adopt the Our Whole Lives curriculum for sex education, and operates a highly acclaimed food program using mostly locally supplied and organic ingredients.
