Our non-profit emerged from British government projects that created a comprehensive platform to empower lower-skilled individuals needing work to fit around fluctuating life commitments (medical issues, parenting, family caregiving, studying, etc.). 

We now work internationally, focused on the intersection of:

• Market platforms: Not what they currently do in service of corporates or aggressive start-ups, but their extraordinary potential to grow inclusive, supportive, climate friendly, activity across the entire micro-economy in any country or region.
• Government initiation: Public agencies have unique leverage, remit, and incentive to initiate a new generation of platforms for economic activity.

Our immediate application of this expertise is better markets for “gig workers” launched by public job centers. We are newly launched in California and spreading to other US cities in 2023.  

But the time increasingly seems right for a wider vision, one that we started developing 30 years ago. That sees initiating the best e-markets now possible across the economic base as a public policy priority. This could happen first in a developed economy, a transition nation, or a large region. If they get it right, other jurisdictions will follow. That would restructure capitalism.

Our aim is to be the Linux Foundation of officially-initiated economic platforms for the less well off. Linux runs 96% of the world’s web servers. Its inventor put the software in a non-profit, free from commercial control, to ensure integrity, accountability, independence, and transparency.
