Nuluka Foundation

Mission: Nuluka Foundation works to give access to quality bilingual education with native tutors to children and young people in conditions of socio-economic vulnerability in Colombia.

Vision: We want—through bilingual education—to contribute to poverty reduction and increase social justice. By 2025, we plan to implement our programs in four departments in Colombia.

Our foundation, established in 2012, is a charitable venture dedicated to improving the future prospects of disadvantaged children throughout rural Colombia. We're looking for enthusiastic native English speakers to help us teach English to as many underprivileged children as possible. In time, and with the help of volunteers, we hope to expand throughout the country in order to give the gift of a second language to as many kids as we can. It's an ambitious project that we're very proud of, however we can't achieve all that we want to without the help of volunteers. People are the most precious resource to our project - without teachers we just can't make a difference. If you're looking for a chance to take part in a cultural exchange which truly allows you to share your culture and to share in ours, then this could be right on the money.

We are currently preparing for 2020, which is set to be our most successful, impactful, and rewarding year yet. We have already benefitted from the generous help of dozens of volunteers over the last few years, and their hard work has paved the way for even more incredible experiences to be enjoyed and powerful positive differences to be made. There has honestly never been a better time to get involved with the project, and we're ready to welcome you in 2020!
