  • About Us

At Literacy Center West, we envision a community in which citizens improve their lives through education and economic opportunity. This vision drives our mission to provide GED preparation (to all in need) and job-readiness training (to 17-21 year olds) at no cost to those who desire our services. The fundamental premise behind our mission and purpose is to use education and career advancement to break generational cycles of poverty. We offer GED preparation classes to all in need four evenings a week. LCW’s GED preparation classes prepare our students to take the Ohio GED examination and/or increase their basic skills to a functioning level. We believe that education is the most important vehicle to better employment and self-sufficiency.
