About Us

ADAP is Alabama's federally-funded protection and advocacy (P&A) agency for persons with disabilities.  ADAP provides free legal advocacy services to Alabamians with disabilities to protect and promote their civil rights. ADAP’s vision is one of a society where persons with disabilities are valued, exercise self-determination through meaningful choices, and have equality of opportunity.  ADAP, housed at The University of Alabama, is a member of a nationwide network of P&A agencies connected through the National Disability Rights Network (http://www.ndrn.org/index.php).
