NY Strong: Building Strong Children, Families, and Communities through Sports, Inc.

  • About Us

    Who We Are:
NY Strong is nonprofit organization that aims to improve children’s physical health outcomes and socio-emotional efficacy through participation in noncompetitive sports programs.  We work with children ages 2 - 10 years.

    What We Do:
Our multi-sport classes integrate tools from research in early childhood development, education, public health, and exercise physiology to:
    • Empower children and families by developing a love of being active.
    • Create an ongoing source of strength in family relationships.
    • Help children develop strong character virtues.
    • Model tools that help children develop a positive self-image.
    • Teach emotional skills that help children become successful leaders in their families and schools.

    Our Team:
We are building a great team with a wide variety of interests and experiences - ranging from exercise physiology, child development sciences, public health research, mentoring, education, nonprofit management, social media management, marketing, fundraising, website development, sports curriculum design, to becoming an expert coach/role model.
