About Us

Quaker Bolivia Link (QBL) is an international, non-sectarian development organization dedicated to reducing poverty among the indigenous peoples of Bolivia. We fund, supervise and evaluate community-initiated projects primarily in agriculture, education and health. By empowering rural women, families and communities, QBL promotes the preservation of indigenous cultures and languages threatened by migration from rural to urban areas.

The following principles guide our actions:

QBL listens to the needs and concerns of marginalized people. We fund projects that address the root causes of their poverty—projects which generate income and secure their food sources.

QBL seeks partners at all levels often co-funding projects with Bolivian NGOs. We seek out expertise from a cadre of international staff and volunteers coordinated through our offices in Bolivia.

QBL does not fund projects with a religious purpose or that excludes anyone on the basis of their religious beliefs. QBL does not favor Quaker-Initiated projects.
