YU Contemporary, Inc
Yale Union (YU) is a contemporary art center founded in 2009 and aiming to stimulate critical dialog on the arts, on modes of production, and between art institutions. YU produces art exhibitions and provides educational programming to support those exhibitions.
Housed in the historic and spacious Yale Union Laundry Building in Portland, Oregon, YU has few constraints on the types of art and events it can host. The building has three levels of large event spaces and a small black box theater. On-site music recording, woodworking and printmaking studios provide attractive work spaces for visiting artists and self-contained means of production and publication.
