WHO WE ARE Cascadia Wildlands is a powerful regional conservation organization that protects and restores wild ecosystems. Since our founding in 1998 we have protected tens of thousands of acres of wild forests and rivers. We are supported by thousands of community members, progressive businesses, philanthropic foundations, passionate volunteers, a dedicated board of directors and an advisory board. Cascadia Wildlands is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our EIN # is 93-1293019.

WHAT WE DO Cascadia Wildlands is a grassroots conservation organization known for its innovative and effective campaigns. Our seven-person staff, active board of directors and advisory council, and dedicated volunteers, accomplish a great deal with limited resources through advocacy, outreach, education, and litigation. Our work is sustained by generous people like you, local businesses, grant-making foundations, and inspiring fundraising events.

WHERE WE WORK We work in the Cascadia bioregion (within the US) where threats to wild places and wildlife are highest. The Cascadia bioregion is the forest zone extending along the Pacific Coast from northern California to south-central Alaska.

STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES AND INCLUSIVITY

Cascadia Wildlands is a nonprofit conservation organization with a mission to defend and restore Cascadia’s wild ecosystems in the forests, in the courts, and in the streets. We stand side-by-side as equals with all members of Cascadia’s communities. We vociferously oppose the discrimination of any persons based on their background, place of origin, ethnicity, race, gender, ability, sexual orientation, religion, and belief or non-belief systems.

We believe that Cascadia, and nature as a whole, is for everyone. In pursuit of our mission, we work with a broad range of individuals and organizations. This is our shared strength. We recognize that confronting social injustice is essential to achieving our mission, as well as being a moral imperative in its own right. Cascadia Wildlands is firmly committed to non-discrimination. To this end, we remain open to listening and extend an open invitation to engage in dialogue regarding any social injustice implications of our work.
