HUB 3rd Avenue Business Improvement District

The mission of the HUB Third Avenue Business Improvement District, (BID) is to promote the growth, vitality and visibility of our local business community. The BID’s cost effective public safety and sanitation program services has not only developed a strong working partnership with city agencies, elected officials and local organizations but has also helped to improve quality of life conditions throughout the business district.

The BID is constantly redeveloping its marketing and promotional strategies to accommodate the trends and needs of the consumer who support our shopping district. The BID sponsors musical street festivals throughout the summer that has proven to bring consumers from outside areas to help strengthen our shopper base.

The BID extends from 148th Street to 153rd Street on Third Avenue and also included areas on Willis Avenue between 148th Street and 149th Street. Also included are areas on 149th Street and Westchester Avenue between Third and Bergen Avenues and Elton Avenue between Third Avenue and 180 feet north of a 153rd Street. The district is comprised of 47 properties and 107 businesses ranging from major chains to locally owned Mom & Pop establishments.
