    To reduce cancer mortality and create health-related career opportunities for Black women in Wards 7 & 8 by transforming the culture of racially unjust and inequitable Systems.

    About Us

    BWTEotR is a radically inclusive organization that is transforming inequitable and racially unjust workforce development and healthcare systems for Black women living in DC’s historically marginalized Wards 7 & 8. Founded in 2019, BWTEotR directly addresses the health and economic disparities embedded within “East of the River” neighborhoods through systems, narrative, and policy change.
