Pathways empowers women and children on their path out of homelessness through hospitality, housing, and hope. As the oldest continuously operating shelter for women and children in the Birmingham, AL area, Pathways has been providing low barrier homeless services since 1983.
We currently have 3 programs: the Day Center (daytime emergency shelter), Stepping Stones (overnight emergency shelter), and Safe Haven (permanent supportive housing). Soon, we will open Pathways Early Learning Center to provide free childcare for children experiencing homelessness.
