About Education Board Partners

Education Board Partners is the only national nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to strengthening nonprofit boards in education. Our name reflects our core principles:

• We believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality education. 
• We believe that boards in education are a powerful force, bringing valuable expertise and leadership, operating independent of politics, and making decisions in close proximity to students, staff, and communities to improve schools.
• We believe that lasting change requires partnering with players at every level of the ecosystem, including boards, school leaders, funders, policymakers, authorizers, and education support organizations.

We work to strengthen boards by:

1. Recruiting board members for schools that need deeper skills, relevant experience, and more diversity.  
2. Providing tailored support for board members and executive directors to help them govern well.
3. Advising decision-makers across the ecosystem to incentivize strong boards.
