Downtown Community Alliance

The mission of the Downtown Events Group (part of Downtown Community Alliance), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to producing annual large-scale festivals and events in downtown Des Moines, is to effectively contribute to the favorability and vitality of downtown, thereby enhancing the overall quality of life, economic development and cultural diversity in greater Des Moines through accessible festivals and special events reflecting the vibrancy and character of the community.

DEG produces several premier downtown annual events to attract and entertain a variety of audiences from the metro area, the state and throughout the Midwest. Events bring unique opportunities to the community.
