About Us
Through an initiative from Mayor Scott Lang’s office with the support of the New Bedford Economic Development Council, the New Bedford Harbor Development Commission, and Community Rowing Inc. in Brighton we have made sweep rowing a possibility. Rowing is more than just a sport. It’s a force for social mobility and change. Our mission is to offer accessibility to the sport of rowing to all community members, regardless of background. We will have scholarships for those in need.
Rowing can help the youth of New Bedford and surrounding areas get into college, form long lasting relationships, and gain self-confidence all the while having a great time outside.
