Extreme Weather Survivors

  • Mission

Extreme Weather Survivors (EWS) is a nationwide community of people directly impacted by disasters like wildfires, floods, extreme heat, deadly air pollution, drought, and hurricanes. The community provides a space for survivors to support and learn from one another while empowering them to advocate for systemic solutions to prevent these disasters from affecting more families and communities.

    About Us

We are surviving floods, fires, droughts, extreme heat, deadly air pollution, superstorms and more, together.

    What We Do:

    1. Build Community: Connect extreme weather survivor communities across the country to learn from each other, support one another and advocate for action.
    2. Provide Support and Trainings: Offer trauma-informed programs to support survivors speaking out, including through advocacy trainings and free trauma support with mental health professionals for survivors and first responders.
