About India Heritage Center, Our Mission:

The Museum of the Indian Journey to the United States of America is committed to capturing, promoting and preserving the individual and collective experience of the Indian diaspora to the United States. The tall and strong tree of our logo represents the fusion of the two great societies. The blending of colors of the flags of India and the United States signifies the celebration of our roots and respect for our new home as proud Indian Americans.

Influential immigrant communities such as Italian, Jewish and Greek, across the United States have one thing in common. They have celebrated and preserved their heritage by creating and supporting a museum that highlights their community’s stories, achievements, trials and tribulations. As our Indian community continues to gain prominence in the United States, be it in Medicine, Business, Technology, Politics or the Arts, it is imperative that we take steps towards preserving the stories which paved the way for Indians to become an influential immigrant community in this country.
