  • About Us

The Andando Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) public foundation that was formed in 2007 out of a desire to “walk together” with some of the less fortunate citizens of our world. Our name comes from a Wolof word meaning “walking together”. Wolof is the main language of Senegal, West Africa.

Senegal is the the principal country in which Andando operates, but we also have projects in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Paraguay. Our goal is to alleviate poverty through micro development. This can happen in a variety of ways that include micro-lending, digging wells, buidling school libraries and infrastructure, establishing self-sustaining garden projects, and building rural health huts. At Andando we are learning new ways every day as we walk together with friends around the world. Come join us!
