    The profession of landscape architecture is licensed within 50 U.S. states, three Canadian provinces, and Puerto Rico. The Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) is an association of state and provincial licensure boards that regulate the profession in those jurisdictions. CLARB supports the regulation by providing a uniform professional examination that ensures that licensees have the knowledge, skills and abilities to practice in a way that protects the public’s health, safety and welfare. CLARB also provides a professional recordkeeping system that enables licensees to efficiently work in multiple jurisdictions and supports its member boards in the pursuit of regulatory excellence.
