Volunteer Chore Services of Snohomish County

Volunteer Chore Services is a program of Catholic Community Services that helps low-income elders and the disabled with light housework and yard work.

Volunteer Chore Services is committed to helping elders and adults with disabilities remain independent in their own homes through a network of caring community members. VCS collaborates with faith-based congregations, civic groups, schools and community businesses to provide services. The services are provided at no charge and serve as a safety net for those individuals who cannot afford to pay for assistance and do not qualify for paid chore assistance.

Volunteers provide a wide range of household tasks and assistance that enables recipients to remain in their homes with dignity, and connection to the community. Assistance with tasks includes housework, laundry, transportation, shopping, and similar independent living requests. Volunteers also participate in one-time projects such as moves and yard clean-ups.
