Prevention Collaborative

  • About Us

The Prevention Collaborative strengthens the capacity of key actors to design, deliver, and advocate for cutting-edge prevention programmes, informed by research-based evidence, practice-based knowledge, and feminist principles.

The Prevention Collaborative serves as a trusted resource and ally to women’s rights organisations, civil society groups, international NGOs, donors, and governments. Specifically, we:

    • Curate evidence and practice-based knowledgelearning.

We critically review emerging evidence and learning, synthesising and sharing the insights most useful to practitioners.

    • Strengthen capacity to design and deliver quality programmes.

Through training, mentoring, and advisory services, we equip actors to shift norms, empower individuals, mobilise communities, and transform the social and structural factors that underpin violence.

    • Accompany groups as they put prevention into practice.

We engage with partners over significant time frames, pairing groups with specially trained prevention mentors who support reflection, sharing of global and local evidence, and application to programmes.

    • Ensure donor that investment is channelled wisely.

We advocate for realistic timelines and donor policies that support effective prevention and build feminist movements.
