  • Mission

    Montgomery Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) is an all volunteer member organization which provides 9-1-1 emergency basic life support ambulance service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year within the township of Montgomery, NJ, and does so with absoultely no charge. In addition to emergency response, MEMS will provide non-emergency ambulance transport service for Township residents. MEMS also performs standbys at fire scenes, community events, and serves as back-up (known as mutual aid) to neighboring towns.

    About Us

    Founded in 1972, Montgomery EMS maintains 3 ambulances and two first responce vehicles. Last year we responded to 1467 emergency calls and our volunteers volunteered over 35,000 hours.

    We are always looking for new volunteers. We have several ways you can help out at Montgomery EMS:

    +EMT - perform Basic Life Support(BLS)

    +Driver - members who serve as Ambulance Drivers

    +Associate - Members who provide support services

    +Cadet - Students 16-17 years old who wish to volunteer as EMTs

    Worried that you won't have enough time? Don't be! We only require 20 hours a month of being on duty to remain an active member.
