Wilderness On Wheels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing nature access to individuals with disabilities. We have two wheelchair accessible boardwalks for hiking. Along our mountain and creekside boardwalks, we have plenty of picnic spots and places to stop for a rest. Everyone is welcome to come visit us for a day trip or stay overnight in one of our huts, cabins, or tent sites. For day trips, we are open 7 days a week from 8am-8pm. Please note we are open seasonally, May through October (weather dependent).
When you donate to or volunteer at Wilderness On Wheels, you are directly supporting equal access to nature. Wilderness On Wheels partners with local organizations that support individuals with disabilities as well as senior citizens. Groups of people (children and adults) with disabilities and seniors come to Wilderness On Wheels for day trips and to enjoy exploring nature in a place that is accessible and welcoming. We are breaking down barriers and creating inclusion in the outdoors space. Join us. This is where your donation goes, and that is why we invite you to support Wilderness On Wheels both via monetary donations and also volunteer opportunities.
