About Us

About the Petersen:

If there is one thing that we all have in common, especially in Southern California, it’s the automobile. To some the automobile is an appliance, to us it is a passion. The Petersen Automotive Museum has been celebrating this passion since 1994 on the corner of Fairfax Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard, the third most traveled intersection in the city of Los Angeles. It anchors one end of the famed “Miracle Mile” and stands out as the west entrance to Museum Row. With recent changes and additions, and attendance and programs servicing our patrons at an all-time high, the Petersen is in its most exciting time ever. The Petersen has been called “the world’s greatest automotive museum” by respected publications. It is an accolade we must now sustain.
