The mission of JFS Delaware is to strengthen individuals, families and the community by providing counseling and support services,  without regard to religion, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status. 
Inspired by the Jewish value "We are all responsible for one another," the agency serves some of the state's most vulnerable residents. This includes:  
- Assisting families through life's transitions while minimizing crisis situations
 - Helping at-risk youth develop the positive social and critical thinking skills necessary to lead productive lives
 - Guiding adults to learn the coping skills needed to successfully navigate life's challenges
 - Supporting older adults with the services they need to remain safely and independently at home
