A new tourist attraction located on Buffalo's waterfront, promoting sustainable materials and energy through action and example. The Douglas Fir pavilion houses a fully restored 1924 hand-carved, menagerie carousel (one of only a handful remaining in the world), powered by solar energy.
Duties would include being a greeter, answering questions about the restoration, keeping the carousel and space neat. Volunteer opinions and suggestions are welcome and taken into account when making changes in policy. This is an opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to promoting preservation, hands-on learning, teaching and STEAM principles.
Winter hours are as follows: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12-5pm, all welcome.
