  • About Us

We are a non profit group dedicated to bringing Naturopathic health care to impoverished communities, while empowering those communities, through education, supporting growth and cultivating sustainable resources.

Currently we have chapters at five of the seven Naturopathic Medical schools and one at the University of Arizona.

Internationally we work in Mexico and Haiti. NWB runs a monthly clinical trip to Puerto Penasco, Mexico through the chapter at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) located in Tempe, Az which has been ongoing since 2006. Our newest project is a collaboration with local Haitian M.D.'s at our long term clinic space in Morne Rouge, Nord Haiti. This location serves as our home base, volunteer quarters and community education space. Programs include malnutrition/refeeding, community garden, community education classes, mobile outreach clinics and a community outreach worker training.

    Our guiding principles are:

    • Health care is a human right, not a privilege for the few.
    • Everyone deserves the best healthcare, regardless of finances,
    • Naturopathic Medicine is well suited for resource-poor settings.
