LM is regulated and certified to provide services for an individual with intellectual disability or a developmental disability under the 907 KAR 1:145 Supports for Community Living Waiver in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Lord’s Legacy Life Ministries believes we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus by helping participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities become active participants in their lives. We believe that God directs each of us to love one another and serve others just as we desire to be served. We embrace our purpose by building relationships with our participants, their families, and our communities. We are committed to investing our time in services that work by making a positive, and measurable difference in people’s lives; in turn showing, unconditional love and acceptance.

Our Organization promotes programs that are person centered and result oriented. We have found, that when services are individualized, our participants can truly improve their circumstance, develop their potential, and become self-sufficient. Measuring progress of our growth development is essential in providing the best services in which we are capable. 

When providing services to an particpant, LLM uses a community inclusion concept as a solution to the traditional institution living. We are committed to investing in services that work by making a positive, measurable difference in people’s lives and, in turn, impacting communities. Measurable results within a community that demonstrate positive outcomes include: safer neighborhoods, a more productive work force, higher contributing citizens, more successful students, and a better quality of life for community residents. To achieve the community inclusion concept, LLM must continually provide education to the community. Only when society fully accepts disabled participants as equals and empowers them to participate in the life of the community will inclusion be realized.

Most importantly, LLM strives to achieve two main goals when supporting a participant:

• LLM is Person-Centered: We aim to help our Consumers solve their problems, improve their circumstances, develop their potential, and become self-sufficient. Every type of service that is provided to participants is individualized to their preferences and differs greatly from one person to the next.
• LLM is Results-Oriented: We measure our results by the progress and success of our consumers. We believe in the empowerment of people with disabilities. We respect an participants’s right to privacy, the right to be treated with dignity, and we value personal differences, preferences, and aspirations. We are here to identify options and present those options to our consumers.
