The mission of Young Chamber Musicians is to advance the artistry of exceptional pre-college string players and pianists through the focused study of chamber music to prepare them for the future and encourage life-long participation in music.

The award-winning Young Chamber Musicians program is based on the vision that the study of chamber music is key to the development of a performing musician. A great chamber music experience combines the skill of a soloist with group awareness - a complete recipe for musical maturity. The program fosters “learning through listening and performing” uniting students with renowned musical mentors, creating performance opportunities, providing free access to professional concerts, and exposing them to chamber music masterpieces in preparation for their musical future as performers and advocates.
