The American River Conservancy is dedicated to the protection of native fisheries, cultural heritage and recreational lands within the American and Consumnes River watersheds.

    About Us

The American River Conservancy is a local conservation organization formed in 1989 to protect, enhance and restore habitat and recreational lands in the American and Cosumnes River watersheds. The American River Conservancy conducts environmental education at our Nature Center in Coloma and in local schools. Our stewardship program takes care of public and conservation lands through restoration projects, trail building and river cleanups.
