  • About Us

Boys' & Girls' Towns of Italy (BGTI) empowers war refugee, migrant and at-risk youth living on the streets of Italy. Through our innovative self-government approach, our young people develop vital skills needed to integrate into, and contribute to society as active, self-reliant adults.

BGTI has served more than 30,000 young people since 1945. Today's young people have escaped devasting family tragedies, violence and extreme poverty.

The role of Boys' & Girls' Towns of Italy, an American 501(c)3 non-profit, is to raise the funds that sustain the program and support expansion of its unique self-government model throughout the world. BGTI is a privately-funded organization with volunteer committees across the country.
