New Hope Family Shelter, Inc.

  • About Us

    Our Mission

The mission of the New Hope Family Shelter (NHFS) is to provide temporary shelter for homeless families in Bloomington and Monroe County and, in collaboration with other agencies, to help those families regain housing by addressing the problems that led to homelessness.

    What We Do

NFHS houses up to seven families at a time for up to three months. In that time our case worker and staff provide support for families as they find employment, their own housing, and self sufficiency. By collaborating with other local social service agencies, New Hope can also help families address other problems, such as finding child care, obtaining benefits for which they are eligible, and seeking treatment for behavioral issues.
