MHAL is planning its 26th annual event, Behavioral Health Day 2017, on Tuesday, May 23rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the State Capitol. Behavioral Health Day is held during the legislative session to allow behavioral health (mental/substance use) consumers, their families and advocates to educate legislative representatives regarding issues that affect our everyday lives. This event attracts 500+ members, peer specialist, providers, family members, youth, and advocates across Louisiana. Let your voice be heard on the steps of the state capitol for quality services for individuals suffering with mental health and substance use disorders. Meet with Legislators to educate & advocate for better policies, funding and access to service integration.
