    The Animal Welfare Society of Howard County (AWSHC) exists to help our community's pets live longer, healthier lives and to find abandoned animals new, loving homes.

    About Us

    Our organization acts as both a veterinary clinic and shelter to abandon animals. We provide low-cost spay/neuter, vaccinations, and other veterinary care. We also rescue animals from high-kill shelters and find them forever homes. We are a no-kill shelter that is committed to reducing animal disease and suffering and the homeless animal population via our low-cost sterilization and adoptions.
