  • Mission

Camp Holiday Trails creates a community that empowers children and teens with medical needs to thrive.

    About Us

Camp Holiday Trails offers children with chronic illnesses the opportunity to take the same positive risks as their healthy peers in an environment that is safe and medically supervised. Our families live every day knowing the physical, emotional, and financial burdens associated with having a child with a chronic illness. Camp Holiday Trails offers an opportunity for these parents to sleep "with both eyes closed" knowing their child’s medical needs are being met by a caring staff of counselors, medical/nursing students, and healthcare professionals.

Camp Holiday Trails is providing this same experience to campers who have chronic illness that prevent them from attending other typical camps. In their regular lives, children with chronic illnesses often experience less independence and responsibility than their peers. They often identify too much with their illness, deciding in advance that they can’t do certain things. At Camp Holiday Trails the focus is on the child not the illness and all campers are encourage to challenge themselves to try new things and believe that "they can."
