  • About Us

The Johannesburg School for Blind, Low Vision and Multiple Disability Children was started as a subsidiary charity to Children of Fire. Some of the pupils simply have some loss of vision. Others are immensely complicated. Admission policy is along the lines of: "We'll accept the children that the Government can't or won't teach." Since 2003, we have had blind children, autistic children, cerebral palsy children and some just starved of food, love or both. Our terms are longer than other schools, our teaching methods diverse. Only a genuine deep caring for children combined with patience will open the shells of these special children. But it can be done for each and every one.
