About Us
South Bay Clean Creeks Coalition is dedicated to Reclaiming, Restoring and Revitalizing the creeks and rivers in the Santa Clara Valley watershed. Over the past four years we have completed over 200 cleanup events and removed over 200 tons of trash from our creeks and rivers. Additionally, we monitor salmon, steelhead trout, beaver, frog and turtle, and aquative macroinvertebrate populations, and water quality. We also conduct trash counts to determine what is ending up in our streams and develop insights into where those things are coming from and how to stop them. We also provide school and library programs. Streams we focus on include the Guadalupe River and Coyote Creek, especially Los Gatos Creek and Guadalupe Creek in the Coyote Creek Watershed and Penitencia Creek and Silver Creek in the Coyote Creek Watershed.
