    • Mission

    The New Day Port A Fund was formed in conjunction with Cinnamon Shore and the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce in response to Hurricane Harvey that occurred in Port Aransas, Texas on August 25th, 2017. The fund was established to provide the Port Aransas community with support and recovery assistance. Our collective efforts include raising short-term donations and securing long-term recovery block grants and other funding sources to rebuild our community. Distribution of funds back into the Port Aransas community has already begun through our local churches and other local/regional foundations, and national disaster and relief organizations. The New Day Fund will continue to accept donations from all sectors and be utilized solely in the recovery effort on the Port A community from Hurricane Harvey. We stand committed to our community and destination.

    About Us

    We have been working alongside thousands of volunteers to rebuild Port Aransas from Hurricane Harvey. We are in need of summer and skilled volunteers to still assist our residents, and businesses. Our goal is to have every full-time resident back in their homes as soon as possible. Our Coastal Wind and Flood codes have made it costly and time consuming for many. If you have tools and a trade, we'd love to organize work sites for you! And if you have hands and a trash sack type folks, we'll put them to work too!
