To reduce disability and death by 25 percent from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by the year 2010.
About Us
The American Heart Association is effecting change by providing information and solutions for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and stroke in people of all ages, with special emphasis on those at high risk.
The 2006 Strategic Plan Framework is a high-level plan containing goals and strategies that define priorities Association-wide. The 2010 Impact Goal to reduce coronary heart disease, stroke and risk by 25% continues as the target for all supporting goals and strategies. Six market plans for the six major markets of the Association support the strategic plan. The major markets are: 1) General Public, 2) Patients, 3) Healthcare Providers, 4) Researchers/Scientists, 5) Public Officials and 6) Donors.
