Scholarships, Inc. is a highly respected non-profit in Green Bay with an impactful legacy of providingfinancial assistance and encouragement to local middle and high school students as they explore higher education opportunities. The work we do each day has one focus encourage and invest in area students to succeed in higher education.
Over the course of 52 years, we have recognized over 8,000 local students with financial need-based scholarships valued over $8,000,000. In 2013, the organization decide to dedicate more time and resources to the goal of “encouraging” area youth to pursue post-secondary education. That was the advent of the college readiness program.
The purpose of the NEW Scholars program is to help underrepresented students become college success and scholarship ready. The primary outcome will be an increase in the number of modest income and first-generation students (traditionally under-represented) who pursue and complete a post-secondary degree. NEW Scholars sets itself apart from other college readiness programs by offering an incentive-based scholarship, active parent participation, and a 7½-year commitment to the student and at no cost to its participants.
