Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

We teach girls to take action: for themselves, their communities, and the world. By giving them different perspectives and opportunities to make a difference, we inspire girls to give back and share the good. And with generations of proactive, passionate volunteers, Girl Scouts is helping girls build courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place. We’re the Girl Scouts; an organization with over 100 years of experience in building leaders. Our volunteers deliver wow-worthy experiences to girls ( grades K-12) in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Girls are encouraged to try new things and explore every dream. There’s no limit to what they can learn – leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Whether working directly with girls in troops, groups or at special events, or volunteering to facilitate adult opportunities or giving service to Girl Scouts in other ways, our volunteers share their personal talents while building skills they can use personally and professionally.
