    About Us

St. Philip's integration of the school with the strong community center has been called a national model for inner-city education. While 200 students attend the school, the community center serves over 700 families. Community Center programs include after school care, one of Dallas' largest athletics programs for children ages 6-14, a depot for Meals on Wheels, senior transportation and outreach services, health fairs, teen self esteem programs for males and females, seminars for first-generation college bound students, camping trips, supervised outings to museums and cultural events, and a summer camp that provides themed activities yearly. The Community Center programs meet a variety of needs in our South Dallas neighborhood. Outreach, athletics, and a strong summer program form the core of programs that include several opportunities to impact youth and families on a number of levels.
