Mission
Stop Shaken Baby Syndrome was incorporated in Massachusetts on May 12, 2009, as a charitable corporation to increase awareness and prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and to provide support to surviving victims and their families. It is otherwise known as SSBS. Specifically, SSBS raises money through various fundraising events to:
* Provide written educational materials to various educational seminars, informational sessions for parents, schools, and/or hospitals as well as the public upon request
* Provide financial assistance and/or treatment modalities in the form of non-traditional therapies not typically covered by insurance
* Provide a better quality of life to children affected by SBS through individual needs using various avenues
About Us
We are a team of 3 women who run this non-profit who are all heart for the cause. We support the families of child abuse in the form of Shaken Baby Syndrome (abusive head trauma, non-accidental head injury). This is a very difficult situation to be in and we offer not only support via Facebook groups and phone. We also have several programs that help families directly. We also have Awareness, Education, and Prevention programs.
