Rebuilding Together St. Louis

About Us

Rebuilding Together - St. Louis is an affiliate of a national volunteer organization. It revitalizes neighborhoods in partnership with the community by rehabilitating the houses of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and the disabled, so that they may continue to live independently in comfort and safety. Rebuilding Together - St. Louis also renews neighborhoods by rebuilding community centers, playgrounds and other community projects. Our main focus centers around our annual National Rebuilding Day efforts. Rebuilding Day is our annual one-day blitz where volunteers make home repairs to the homes of low-income elderly and disabled homeowners in the St. Louis Metro area. Volunteer opportunities for Rebuilding Day are available at all skill levels. Volunteers generally work on a single home or civic project and are assigned in groups of between five and 50, with 20 being the average. Volunteers work under the direction of a skilled House Captain, who is assisted by a Volunteer Coordinator.
